Good power for the first year and a half of use but then we’ve seen they start having short block issues. I’ve been told by mechanics that these machines are built like horrid motors. Meaning they run strong but longevity and reliability go out the window. We’ve used 20 plus of the 8500 series and ran high test gas and best oil mix out there and consistently have same issues at the year and a half mark. Machines have a stated 2 year warranty but it’s not backed up by the company. We have switched back to Stihl. Much more durable for the pros.
